Announcing Rapala’s New Floating Minnow: The Flat Rap
Rapala recently added a new member to its popular freshwater floating minnow line, the Flat Rap. At first glance, the Rapala Flat Rap looks like a slightly thicker bodied floating minnow but it differs with its flat sides and triangular-shaped lip.
Harkening back to the balsa bait tradition, the Flat Rap is also constructed of balsa giving the bait a slow rising action when the retrieve stops. Retrieval depths range from 2’ to 5’ depending on line and retrieve variations.
The Rapala Flat Rap comes in two different sizes (3 1/8” & 4”) and many of the popular color patterns in similar lure designs including:
- Silver, Perch, Yellow Perch, Grey Shiner, Chrome, Fire-tiger, Silver Blue, etc.
Be sure and check out the Flat Rap floating minnow and all the new additions to the Rapala fishing lure line on their website by clicking on the images above (they are live links!).
Be sure and check out the “How To TV” section of the Rapala website, loaded with useful tips and techniques for fishing many of their fantastic products …
