Ultimate Bass Fishing Success: Paul Elias on Falcon Lake in 2008

What do you get when you add Paul Elias, Falcon Lake, deep-running crankbaits and 12-inch Mann’s jelly worms in an equation?

You get the all time heavyweight Bass tournament stringer for a major BASS tournament event of 132.5 pounds.

We all dream of having days where we catch more than one really great largemouth or smallmouth bass.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have a couple of days where I actually accomplished that goal. My best single five-bass limit came in 1981 on Snipatuit Pond in southeastern Massachusetts where I boated five fish limit weighing over 20 pounds.

Believe me these days are rare.

However, when you stop and reflect upon what Paul Elias did in 2008 on Falcon Lake where he caught 20 bass weighing over 132 pounds (an average of over 6 pounds) that is truly amazing.
